January 2013 favourites.

Hey everyone! I've been watching alot of Youtube beauty gurus, make their January 2013 Favourites. Now, I don't wear makeup, so I'm just going to show you all my favourite things of January 2013:

1. The Carrie Diaries

Oh my gosh. This show is honestly perfection. Everything about it is just.. asdfghjkl. I love it! The fact that it's in the 80's, is just.. dskdsdsdjshd. I love it. I honestly want a friend like Walt. I don't know anyone who's "like Walt" nor do I know anyone who dresses like that. It's sucky. But Sebastian. Marry me? He's such an idiot for letting Carrie go just like that, but THERE BETTER BE SOME LIGHT AT THE END OF THAT TUNNEL. The book.. Is also phenomenally written.

2. Taylor Swift's Enchanted Wonderstruck

This perfume has slowly made it's way to my favourite perfume this month. It smells so musky, and floral and pretty and I'm just.. I love it. It smells amazing. That's all I can say.

3. Glee: The Music of Season 4, Volume 1

This cd is absolute perfection. Darren Criss sings about 4 times, and I'm happy. The best part is Darren Criss and Chord Overstreet sing together in Heroes. It's the best. Best $11.99 spent.

4. Fuzzy Socks

These socks right here are the softest things ever. I practically live in them.

5. Cue Cards.

With all the preparing for exams (which are done by the way) these things were my best friends. You all should see how many of these I filled up. It was crazyyyyy.

6. Sinful Colors: Mint Apple Nail Polish

This is one of the only polishes that I wore this month and it's one of the prettiest.

7. Magazines

You know how some people collect stamps or snow globes? Yeah, well.. I collect magazines. I'm an impulse magazine buyer. Don't judge me!

8. Temple Run 2

Better then the first one.

Those are my current favourites of January 2013! But I'm not done yet! Here are some of my favourite songs this month:

  • Suit and Tie by Justin Timberlake ft. Jay-Z.

All I have to say is: What a comeback.

  • Thrift Shop by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis ft. Wanz.

I don't normally like songs like this, but oh my gosh. I love this song.

  • Skinny Love by Bon Iver.

I can't even... This song is soo amazing. At first I thought it was about a girl who wanted to be skinny, but turns out it's actually about a relationship... It's soooo good.

    wonderland.

Greetings! I haven't talked to you all in SUCH a long time! But you know, exams. Ugh. Just typing that makes me cringe. I hate exams. But what's worse is summatives. We already have an exam, so what is the need? I have one more exam.. on Tuesday. It's English, which you really can't study for. I'm pretty sure I bombed my Science exam.

Is it weird that I'm going to miss my first semester classes? I actually enjoyed going to my Science class, even though the teacher sucked. I loved laughing with the people around me, and ugh. I hope second semester is just as happy for me. I have Math. My second least favourite subject, we all know Science tops that..

I'm still in the process of making my Carrie bag. I have my nail polishes that are set, but the bag. I haven't been to any thrift stores in AGES, so I really need to get to one. I'm sooooo excited for this bag. You don't even know.

I've recently been loving Pogo's Disney remixes. They're super cute, and catchy. Here's three of my favourites:

  • Alice.
  • Wishery.
  • Upular.

I haven't painted my nails in what feels like forever. I hate looking at bare nails! But exams puts everything on hold. >.<

Well, I don't have too much to say today. But the SAG awards are coming on soon, and I'm super stoked because my guilty pleasure is pretty much watching award shows. I'm also really excited for the Grammys. Taylor Swift and Mumford and Sons in one night? Count me in!

While I sit here waiting for the clock to tick 8, here is what I'll be doing for the next 31 minutes. Thank you Netflix.

girl put your records on, tell me your favourite song...

Currently listening to; Maneater by Hall and Oates

Hello again! Quick post for today, nothing too lengthy... Alright. So how's everyone's days going? Mine was alright. But that guy I like.. I'm getting the vibe that I should stop looking at him everytime I see him, otherwise he'll catch on, and we don't need that happening.. Do we?

We're doing this project for my Business class and we have a to make a business. Of course, mine is photography business. I call it "Kaleidoscope Photos". Yes, it is pun of "Lucy in the sky with diamonds". This girl decided to ask me if I had seen "Across the Universe" (best movie btw) and.. Of course I said Yes. The Beatles are freaking amazing. I really wish I had a vinyl player. Which brings me to my next point..

I'm pretty much in love with the idea of having a vinyl player, and records. I don't know what struck the sudden interest, probably watching 500 days of Summer, and seeing Summer and Tom in the record shop. What guy does the now a days? I have this whole guy I REALLY want planned out in my head, but half those affections might never be filled. Here are a few:

  • artsy
  • humorous
  • nice smile
  • nice eyes
  • will be serious at times
  • fun
  • abs (don't judge me.)

All those things most likely make me seem high matience. I'd love to say I'm not.. But.. :$

Currently watching American Idol.. Phillip Phillips.. Marry me now? Please?. This new season, is alright so far. I guess. There's always those tearjerker stories. But I REFUSE to cry in front of my mom.

So long, farewell, to you my friends.

    ignore that post down below.

Hey everyone! I haven't really been on here in a while, I apologize. But.. my mom's been nagging me and nagging me about studying for exams. Which I GUESS it is important. Well, it is important. But, ugh. Studying and me DO NOT work well together. But I have about 10 or so days, so I think I've got this. I hope. Geography, Science and English. How many is too many? Luckily, next semester, I have 1 exam, 1 EQAO, and 4 summatives. Yippee! But uh.. Yeah. What a paragraph.

So I just watched 'The Carrie Diaries' and I'm pretty much in love with the show. It's so interesting, and it's only been one episode. Which aired tonight. Carrie is so, amazing, and wonderful and I honestly wish I was her. To have a boy like Austin Butler chasing her? OH, yes. And to have friends like Mouse and Walt? YESSSS. Sorry Maggie. But where's Lali? In the book there's a girl named Lali. Also, where's Carrie's other sister? Her name slips my mind, but in the show it's just Carrie and Dorrit. Speaking of which, How freaking crazy is Dorrit? 14 and doing drugs and alcohol? Again, how much is too much?

This bag. THIS BAG. I want a bag like sooooo bad. It's so cute and creative and.. asdfghjkl. It's so perfect. I need to go bag hunting at the shoppes.. (oh, how I wish I had to power to use this, #iwishiwasabrit) But I need to find a boxy black purse that will be cute and I can do that (just look up) with it. Neon paint, white paint, a bag. My life will be complete. If only I lived in New York.

Enought about that. But how's everyone else's day's going? Mine's alright. That guy I mentioned in my last post.. Yeah.. We're on speaking terms now. How exciting!

    Goodnight,

    ~Heather

P.S.. Has anyone else heard the Live 2003 version of Yellow?

    Thursday, January 10, 2013

    heyyyy!

Don't you just love to see beautiful Chord Overstreet greeting you? :P There's a whole gif to that picture, but it wouldn't load. >.<

Hello everyone. Long time no talk! Well actually, only like 2 days. But still. I was blogging everyday before those 2 days. GAHHHH.

These last two days have been very boring and bleh. I didn't blog because I had homework and I've had "alot" on my mind recently. Well not really. But enough to keep my occupied.

You see, I liked/like this guy (who is nice I might add) and I told this girl that I liked him. BIG MISTAKE. She took matters into her own hands and she told him that I liked him. In front of a few people. I was mortified. I remember the day. It was a few days before break let out.

Long story short, I no longer talk to this guy and everything is just weird.

    Ever had that feeling?

That photo I'm quite proud of. I took like 20 something photos for me to actually look shocked.

#sorrynotsorry. I'm proud of this too. Took lots of setting up. :P Currently obsessed with "22" by Taylor because it's perfection, and I feel like I can for once relate to one of her songs. I love them all, but this one I can actually relate to it. Somewhat.

This was probably the most unproductive blog post ever.

Currently listening to: "Dear John" by Taylor Swift

"Don't you think nineteen's too long to be messed with?"

Go listen to this: It's amazing.

back to life, back to reality.

YAYYYYY! Not. Ugh this day was just.. Words cannot describe. Today was full of: "Oh my gosh! I haven't seen you since last year!", "Is that new?", "I love your new (insert object)." It gets old very soon. VERY SOON.

I'm currently listening to "I Love New York/ New York, New York" , and I just.. I would honestly rather be there than here.

I really don't know what to talk about. This might be one of the shorter blog posts that I make. Update: Of course, I always find things to talk about..

OOOooh! I took and edited a couple photos today.

Both of these photos that I am sharing with you all are for a monthly project, coming from Fat Mum Slim. It's a really cool project, and I'm doing well so far, but I honestly feel that as soon as exams hit, it will be a derailing mess.

My iTunes just went from Glee to Coldplay, and I love it. Currently it's on 'Viva La Vida', and I can honestly say the way Chris Martin says "foreign" towards the end of the chorus is just.. asdfghjkl. It just sounds so amazing, beautiful and british. Oh, how I dream to be British. There should be a book on how to be British. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I've been really into lots of "British things" lately: Jack and Finn, Sam Pepper, One Direction and of course, Coldplay. I got Coldplay's concert DVD for Christmas and I have yet to watch it, but when I do... I'll let you all know.

I'm going to let you all go now, didn't make this TOO long, but long enough for me.. HA.

Currently listening to; "Warrior" by Kimbra, A-Trak and Mark Foster. One of my current favourites. And by current I mean I've loved it since June. -.-

i'd rather read itunes terms and conditions then go back to school.

The title says it all. I would rather read that, then go to school. I can't believe that those 17 days creeped up on me. I honestly don't want to go back to school. It's so boring, and.. Exams. Exams are what I have to look forward to three weeks from now. This is my first year having exams so I honestly don't know what to expect.

Today was a productive day. I got a new backpack, because my old one was ripping like crazy. I already know that I'm going to be uncomfortable tomorrow, because I HATE drawing attention to myself. My backpack is semi- bright, so I just.. If I write tomorrow, I'll let you all know how that plays out. I painted my nails as well. That's shocking. My nails are usually painted, but with all the things going on, I thought I wouldn't have time. I did!

I got some pretty cool gifts for Christmas, but I never got to show any of them, because I started this blog on New Year's Eve. Anyone remember that?

Ooooh! I thought I would include that I watched '500 days of Summer' with Zooey Deschanel and Joesph Gordon- Levitt. It was really good, pretty funny too.

In memoir of my "amazing" Christmas break, I thought "Why not share my favourite photos?" And that's exactly what I'm going to do.

Aandddd... Of course. It goes from that to 'It's Not Unusual' by Darren Criss.. (Or Glee Cast, if that pleases you.)

    darren criss and the boots.

Today my family and I went to the States to do some random shopping. Kind of a spur of the moment type thing, I'm quite pleased with the things I got. One of them being the new Glee cd. The first track (and my very favourite if I might add) is "It's Time" by Darren Criss. Originally done by Imagine Dragons. The way he sings it is just.. PERFECT. He is perfect. He can sing, act, dress properly (no sagging pants.. YAY!). Why can't boys be like him? Then again, there's only Darren Criss. He came to Toronto a few months back, he was one of the guests at the MMVA's (With Chord Overstreet, who is freaking amazing as well) and I couldn't go... Why? Because I wasn't fourteen. asdfghjkl. So I had to sit at home and watch from my television as two of my favourite celebrities chit- chat in Toronto, just a few hours away.

Are these boots not perfection? While in the States, my dad wanted to stop at this place called 'Burlington Coat Factory' which he heard about on TV. I expected to walk into an actual coat factory, which fancy coats. Boy, was I wrong. Majority of the things in that store weren't coats! But those boots. Were gorgeous. And so was the price. $24. asdfghjkl. But of course, they were one size too small. But my mom said that if I wanted to wear socks with it, it would have to be my right size. >.<

I go back to school in less than 2 days. It's quite sad actually. But everytime I have a break, it's like I go through this cycle; I get all excited prior to the break actually happening. The day before the break happens, I'm practically uncontrollable and bouncing off the walls. During the break, I DO NOTHING. I repeat, I DO NOTHING. Few days before the break ends, I get all sad complaining that I did nothing. And I can't wait for the next break to happen. Then I go back to school, and I have no fascinating stories to tell. It's a crazy never never ending cycle.

    #heatherproblems.

What did you do this break?

Currently listening to; 'It's Time' by Darren Criss (or you could consider it the Glee Cast)

LOL at the fake ice lipbalm article.

These titles are beginning to become a bit atrocious. -.-

Yes! Yes! Yes! I finally got the Alice in Wonderland lipbalm set from the drugstore. I have been looking for this for months! Everytime my parents and I went to the States I'd be looking high and low to find one. No such luck. Then I went on the and found out that they sell it in Canada! You must believe I stalked the website and found that a few of the drugstores near my house sold them. I was pleased with my discovery. I finally got it, and I've been taking pictures of it NON- STOP.

Fake ice here I come. Since school's coming soon (in about 3 days), I want to make as many videos as possible. Today, or maybe tomorrow depending on how fast the ice freezes, I'm going to make a stopmotion using the doll ice skates that I got for Christmas. I'm super stoked to film this, because I've been plotting it for a very long time.

As much as I love Taylor, this photo.. asdfghjkl. If you don't understand it, in all Taylor's cd booklets with the lyrics she capitalizes letters and all the capitalized letters spell out something. This one says: CONOR,HARRY WHO IS NEXT. This too much for me handle.. #heatherproblems.

I just saw 'LOL' on Netflix. Thank you netflix. It was really good! It seemed very real. Lola reminds me of one of my good friends, except she's a bit more rebellious then my friend. I loved one of the girls' moms. "What is this an eyepatch?" Oh gosh. I think this was a pretty good movie for Miley, so I applaud.

I plan on watching 2 more movies (hopefully) before my break ends; The Hunger Games and (500) Days of Summer. Once again, thank you Netflix.

    Happy days!

UPDATE! I semi-completed my song decoding page. I'm quite pleased with it.

the snowy magazine and the jar.

An attempt at a cute yet catchy title? I think not.

Finally got my Teen Vogue magazine in the mail! I've been anticipating for so long! It has Anna- Sophia Robb on it, who I think is going to be starring in the upcoming show 'The Carrie Diaries' , which looks promising. It has Austin Butler in it, who has caught my attention GREATLY. I haven't gotten a chance to read it, just flip through it.

Another exciting thing is that it Mother Nature FINALLY decided that it was time for another snowfall. Not too much snow, but enough to make me happy. You probably can't tell by this photo, but there are little snowflakes falling from the sky. I really need a DSLR, or at least an SLR!

While on Tumblr, looking for something "fun" to do, I came across this post that said 'Get a jar. Put 2013 on it, and anytime something worthy happens, write it on a piece of paper and stick it in the jar. On New Year's Eve, take out everything and read all the good things that happened this year.' Sounds interesting right? I thought so. Now, I couldn't find the exact post, but I found one that might help a few .

    song decoding.

    Last night, was very.. interesting. Since I've given myself gracious amounts of time,(since I finished my homework last weekend) I've been doing lots of things out of the ordinary, and things I wouldn't have had time to do during the school year. Ever since I heard that Taylor Swift puts messages in all her cd booklets, I spent all last night and a little bit of this morning decoding ALL the lyrics from ALL her cds, except her first one, Taylor Swift (dear library, hurry up the process!). Call me crazy; You're Crazy! But I had fun looking through all the lyrics and figuring which words I'd been saying wrong and putting all the letters together. It was really fun. I found out a few things from doing this;

  • 'Enchanted' is about Adam Young, who's Owl City.
  • '22' is about Ashley, Dianna , Claire and Selena.
  • 'Everything Has Changed ft. Ed Sheeran' is about Conor Kennedy. and..
  • 'Starlight' is for Ethel Kennedy.
  • I apologize for those of you who loved the mystery in all her songs. But don't you worry! This is only 4, Taylor has over 50 songs! :)

I've decided that I'm going to put together all these "decodes" together and put them onto a paper, or canvas or something along those lines, hang it in my room, or frame it. The possibilities that I could do with these "decodes" is endless.

    the semi-productive day.

Yes, that drink in unalcoholic. This morning, we rung in the new year! How exciting! I'm quite a multitasker today. Reblogging on Tumblr, writing this post, listening to 'State of Grace' by the oh-so wonderful Taylor Swift. This is usual day. Excluding writing a blog post, but that's a new ingredient added to the mix as of yesterday.

Today so far, has been a semi-productive day.

I finally went to Tim Hortons and got my second French Vanilla, which I'd been wanting for quite some time. They're very good, and all of you should try it. It does have caffeine, which I actually didn't know. NOW I understand why I was bouncing off the walls the first time I tried it. :P

We also took down our Christmas decorations, (yay for piano playing Schroeder) which made me kind of sad. I love the buildup of Christmas, but when it actually happens, it's sad! Everything just goes downhill from there; Boxing Day, New Years, and then I go back to school. Which is what I dread. This is my first year taking exams, and my mom is already asking me to prepare! *insert exasperated sigh*

We will never have a 13/13/13...

    ~Heather

    slight introduction.

    Tuesday, January 1, 2013

I realized just before I went to bed, that I never gave this blog and introduction.. So here it is:

    Introduction

Hello. My name is Heather, and I'm fourteen years old. I never usually know how to start things like this, I just end up rambling about my favourite this or that, it feels like it's the first day of school and we have to introduce ourselves to our classmates. I guess that's what this is!

  • I love Taylor Swift
  • Tumblr is one of my unhealthy obsessions
  • I love thrifting (thrift store shopping)
  • I would LOVE to become a photographer when I grow up (I have a whole living plan and everything!)
  • New York City is my second home
  • My favourite tv shows are; Glee, Pretty Little Liars (January 8th!!!!!), and 90210
  • I have a slight (and by slight I mean semi-large) obsession with Chord Overstreet (actually listening to Red Solo Cup as I type this!)
  • Other than Taylor I really love artists like; Coldplay (para-para-paradise), Maroon 5, Demi Lovato, Gotye, Kimbra, asdfghjkl. Way to many to list
  • And that's a little bit about me. :)

    ~Heather
